Question
I read your answer advising a woman about her dog and wanted to thank you
for making the information so clear.

I supported my dogs journey through this and just lost her yesterday.  It was
a 10 month journey.  Each blood test, hoped for a better number and she was
always just shy of what doctors called a remission.  She was on 20 mg of
prednizone twice daily, and azathioprine.  She responded well, acted
remarkably happy, tho not as active throughout the treatment.  While
traveling her white count was elevated slightly and a vet wanted to put her on
antibiotics.  I was nervous about this, thinking it could crash her.  But he felt
it was important.  She made it through the treatment without apparent
problems but a week or two later, pussy sores formed on her belly.  She died
a few days later.

I feel I really have very little understanding of her disease process, and
treatment proticals.  I've been told that it would have been better to treat her
homeopathically, before getting her on steroids.

I was wondering if you would be willing to comment.  I know I was
increasingly concerned about the length of time she was on
immunosuppresent drugs, but no one suggested reducing them until she
reached the designated level.  Once a vet said she would call it a remission,
but others would probably want her on the dosages longer.

She was the sweetest dog, I've ever known and her life was in my care.  I'm
haunted by my confusion about how to serve her.  My only comfort is that
she got to be with her family, traveling and enjoying adventures through her
life.

Do you have any information about homeopathic treatment for this difficult
disease.  And the 50% of dogs that make it past the first year, how do they
fair after that?

Thanks so much for your interest

Answer
May I express my sincere condolences to you and your family, may I also take this opportunity to thank you for reading the information I had placed here.

There are some homeopathic meds available that appear to have some good to them, but this must always be discussed along with conventional treatment at your veterinary surgery.

You should attend a homeopathic clinic and ask for information on nosodes. This will give you all the excellent info available.

Best wishes

I have included some natural treatments on my website

www.eurobichons.com

All you need to do is join (free) and type an intro  spak to a few members and the site opens up, then go to search box and type in IMHA . there is so much there for you to read.
