Question Hi, My bichon is now about 8 weeks pregnant and still isn,t showing any signs of an increased appetite. if anything her appetite is not as good as it was. She is drinking plenty. Is this normal or is there anything i can give her to try and get her to eat more. Also she has not eaten dog food for 6 weeks, just chicken and meat that i give her, though not much of it.
Answer ok so imagine that you are a pregnant female human, in your first trimester, would you see an increase in food demand?
NO.
Just ensure at this tage that she exercises normally, has access to good food (NOT dried foods) and that she isnt stressed. Trust me her appetite will increase in her final 2 weeks and not before.
Please ensure she has a balanced diet of meat, veg and fibre.
