Question
I have a 5 year old male Bichon and was wondering how much is too much for him to weigh? He is bigger than most, longer and taller. He weighed 26 lbs. the last time I checked.
Weight should be proportionate to build. Many are getting bigger these days due to
improper gene control in many greedy breeders ideas for making money.
To assess his build stand over him if he has a waist and you can see his definition he is fine
if not place him on a diet.
Even the biggest should be max 18lb , but you must discuss any diet with a vet who will guide you
through it safely,
