Bichon Frise/Bischon Frise worming

Question
Hi,

I have 2 male Bischon Frise pups, 9 months old.  I worm them on a regular basis, last time being approx. 3/4 weeks ago.  I have noticed that they have worms again. They are not around other dogs on a daily basis.  The only thing I can think of is they were groomed 3 days ago, would this cause worms to return so quickly?

Answer
I would advise giving a touch of garlic in their food and check for fleas as this is usually how these dogs will get worms from flea larvae.

If using a raw diet they need to be wormed every 12 weeks using an all in one tablet.

The use of garlic is an excellent way to ward off fleas and also purge worms from intestines.
