Bichon Frise/seizures

Question
Hi My 14 yr old Bishon has recently had 2 seizures, only lasting seconds but still very stressful, he is also of his back legs and has become rather housebound, he has always had problems trying to poop, he can only have tinned chappie and bran flakes anything else upsets his tum which ranges from very hard stools or very soft with blood in, he had a bowell hernia about 7 yrs ago which was corrected but i have feared for a long time now that it's back, i really don't want to take him to the vet to messed about with at his age, but do you think that he is coming to the end of his days?

Answer
I shall be blunt yes I think some preparations need to be made as he is coming to the end of his wonderful and beautiful life he shared with you.
I would take him to the vet to see if there are any underlying issues causing his seizures, but from experience I know they will get longer and deeper and more distressing, he will become incontinent and his days will be sad.

I am sorry for you and your little one

Love to you
K
