Question
my Bichon is 10 months and is coming into season, is it ok to breed her now? I would like 1 litter off her then get her spayed. she is a great dog and i think she will be a fantastic mother.

Answer
That is inconceivable. The dog must be about 2 years before being bred and only if she has been fully health tested by several vets for her eyes, patella , liver function, heart and if necessary hips too.
She should only be bred if she is of breed type and within the standard. She should be temperament tested and tested for any canine diseae such as herpes and STDs etc.

You must also inform your breeder and verify that she has the right pedigree.

Hope this helps
