Bichon Frise/weight of puppy

Question
We have a 14 week old Bichon that I recently took to his first vet visit.  I was told he weighs 7.4lbs and that he is underweight.  He does not look emaciated or skinny...he has the healthy puppy belly and eats normally.  He was also tested for worms and every test result was negative.  If the vet is saying he is underweight, what should his ideal weight be and what can I do to get him there?  Thank you!

Answer
Well how can a vet state that unless he has seen the parents of this pup, at 14 weeks I would expect a range between 3 and 4 kilos and he is mid range. So long as you are following his diet regime supplied by his breeder and that you are reading the pack instructions if commercial diet then I would simply continue with that.
Remember though that these breeds need fresh foods also like cucumber, apple slices, pear slices, a bit of green veg like green beans etc.
