Question
my year old bichon dougal as become hoarser as the day has
wore on. he can barely be heard tonight at all. he is
eating ok. my first thought was that he had something caught
in his throat but i gave him a thick crust of bread and it
went down fine but he does not seem 100% although does not
appear to be ill. help

being in the UK and the season this could be either a cold or kennel clough start giving him ecinacea purpurea daily for 6 weeks, get it from holland and barratt.
He wil; be fine just keep up his fluids and you can also give him some gatorade once per day about 100 mls if you feel he is dehydrated. I would not give him dried foods at the moment and encourage the eating of cucumber, apple , pear and carrot batons daily.
