Question
We were keeping a 6 lbs Maltese from a 4 lbs Maltese unfortunately they mated locked for 40 minutes. Its her first litter.  His 6 studding and in all other throws very tiny puppies. I would like to know if knowing this we could go ahead with pregnancy assuming she is. Because he has always produced at least 4 even with one lock. Also could you tell me is the bichon the same or how its related to the Maltese  Is it just that the French write Bichon Maltais. I'm confused because I thought they were two distinctly different breeds.  Thankyou so very much

Answer
The Bichon is  GROUP not an individual dog. It has the Frise, Havanese, Lowchen, Bolognese, Maltese and tsvetyana in the group.

The litter will be fine , just do not permit her to over eat most problems occur in pregnancy due to the bitch over eating .
