Question
I gave my wife a 9 week male Bichon for Christmas and from the day I brought him home all he wants to do is sleep. Also, he's thrown up several times and just this morning when I went to take him fom his crate his body was rigid and he had no control of his neck muscles, it was just falling from side to side.  I called a friend who told me it sounded like the puppy had low blood sugar and to give him karo syrup, and even add the syrup to his water.  I forced some of the syrup into his mouth and after approx. 1 hour he started coming around and showing signs of life again.  After approx. 6 hours he's walking around some, and then just lying around non rsponsive (sleeping) Is this possibly just signs of separation anxiety or something more that I should be really concerned about.

My dear its very important that no toy breed pup ever goes with out feeding for more than 2 hours.they will get hypo as you have seen.
This little is dehydrated too, start by giving nutrical NOW and also a good puppy milk daily until this little one is fitter, give a high cal high protein feed formulated for puppies wet at the moment, also give scrambled eggs with butter and cream, minced turkey and chicken raw if necessary , chicken broth, fish such as mackeral, salmon with oils.
The karo has saved his life.
