Question
Hi, I've heard a lot about "Life's Abundance All Natural Dog Food"...have you heard of it? Do you recommend it for a Bichon Frise? Is there a better dog food
for this particular breed that you wold recommend?

Do you recommend feeding a new puppy inside of a crate or outside of the crate?

What type of brush I would need to purchase so that I can groom him once a week? I've read about a slicker brush by Miller's Forge; is that a good choice?
What about the Original Belgium Greyhound coat for medium/coarse hair, are there lower priced combs that are equal to or just as good as the Greyhound? I've done searching and that particular comb is expensive.

What kind of shampoo, conditioner, chew toys, treats, etc. would recommend for this particular breed as well?

Thank you in advance for answering all of my questions :-)

Answer
Wow so many questions, in such a short space of time. LOL
A natural dog food is good for all dogs however, all commercial food companies are making a profit and that means quality will suffer...Hills is a good diet, Burns is also excellent use the sensitive ones with pork, duck ,white fish, potato far better for the dog

Most commercial dog foods are now reasonable however, they are not breed specific and as such can only provide a general effort to sustain and maintain dietary needs for all dogs.

Grooming tools, need to get a slicker brush, a pin comb and brush, a anti tangle comb. Buy quality products made by the likes of Mikki, dont buy cheaper versions as they will damage the skin of the dog.

Always check the slicker pins as they can come out , replace often.

Shampoo I would only use oatmeal based shampoos as they prevent itching which these dogs are prone to do.

Chew toys, kong are the better ones , they maybe expensive but they do last.

Natural treats such as carrot batons, apple, cucumber , make home made biscuits as you can control the ingredients, so they can be low in fat and good for the dog. We do have several recipes on our site

Never feed a dog inside the crate , it makes training far harder.
