Question
I have a 5 month old Bichon pup, he is weighing in at 6lbs at the moment. I wondered how much more he is likely to gorw and when he will be fully grown? The vet seemed to think he was abourt done but then on websites I have read that they can grow to 20lbs??

Well to be honest some are over 20lbs, but that has more to do with genetics and human interaction.
To be fair I would need to know the size of both parents and then GPS and GGGPS, to give a better assessment, but as a rule of thumb and providing that you dont overfeed the little one then I would say that at 8 months most of the growing should be done, there will be a little packing out yet to be done but in the main the skeletal system and musculatory frame are well set by then.

So give or take a pound or two the adult size of this one is likely to be about 9-13 lbs as he is male more towards 13 than 9.
