Question
My Bichon is 1 1/2 yrs old.  He is having his second hot spot which is miserable to him.  Vet prescribed clavamox and temeril.  And now we are looking at changing food.  Is the medicine prescibed o.k.?  What food would be good to change to?

Answer
like you describe.

Food.  All commercial dog food is garbage.  A natural nice is the best.  Its called BARF (Bones & Raw food) Many companies now make the food and its also easy to make your seld.   Go to www.Amazon.com  purchase " The Ultimate Diet" by Kymberly Schultze.  The book is easy reading and tell all about the diet.  Also do a search for BARF in the internet seach engine.
