Question
I have an 8 mth old girl that weighs almost 10 pounds. Is this a healthy weight for her and when will she reach adulthood?

firstly the size of a pup is not set in stone, she may prove to be a 14lb adult, not too bad, just watch her diet to avoid patella problems. However if the two parents are larger for breed standard she is likley to be bigger so I would give her supplements in place of a meal like glucosamine and chondratin, cranberry tabs etc... the higher the weight the higher the possibility to develop stones. Get her on an exercise programme. Dont give treats and give plenty of greens and fruit too.
Possible she will reach 14lb .no more though. suggest that you look at our site for feeding help
