how long does a female bichon have to mate as far as age ?
It depends on many things. Better for a vet to awnser.
Also before breeding ensure your dog does not have the big bichon genetic problems. Do do this you must have at least 3 generations certified clear. Juvinile cataracts, Patella Laxation problems, are 2 of the biggest.
