Hello Bill,

My 8 year old Bichon Frise x poodle, Ralph, has developed a skin condition that has required cortisone treatment.

This happened 4 times last year and the condition is returning now.

I care for a friend's dog while she is in hospital and every time her dog is bitten by a flea he develops the skin problem.  Ralph only develops the rash whenever I have had my friends dog in my care.  Now that it is happening again it's obvious that I need to gently let my friend know that I can no longer care for her dog.

In the meantime, is there a natural treatment I can use to help Ralph rather than getting cortisone shots all the time.  It was only last December that he was treated for this condition.
I'm think bi-carb of soda or bees wax or whatever to help him.

I appreciate any advice you can give and thank you in advance.

Light skinned dogs are highly allergic to fleas.  Fleas cause parasites.  Parasites reek havic with you immune system.  Ask the vet how to rid the dogs of parasites.

Build the dogs immune system.  Feed a natural diet instead of commerical dogs food.  Stop all vaccinations.
