Question I want to teach my 8 year old bichon female to pee inside the house. She gets bladder infections and I can not always let her out, so now I am paying much $$$ for doggy day care and cannot do this endlessly. Yesterday she urinated next to the kitty liter box and I praised her. What should I put on the floor near the kitty liter for her to urinate on? and how do I teach her to do this? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
Answer This is really quite opposite to what I would normally be asked. for excelent results al you need do is place wee wee pads on the floor near her litter tray She will use these without any problem, However once this is taught she wont be easy to get back to peeing outside so think hard about the decision to do this. Also i note that you do use a litter tray excelent but dont need litter she isnt a cat use a wee pad just in case she decides to eat it. the wee pads ca be folded to fit and thus will last longer. If you are stil stuck use my site www.eurobichons.com lots FREE info Good luck Also give her cranberry tabs x1 daily for her UTI this will clear up quickly and take her off dry food and any foods high in nitrates such as hot dogs smoked foods etc
