Question I just bought a used bike at a bike auction and realized after purchasing it that
the chains and pedals don't move the tires. When I pedal, i don't go anywhere! Is
this an easy fix and how do I do it?
Answer Are the brakes to tight and rubbing against the wheel preventing it from moving? If so you will need to loosen them. If the chain doesn't move, is there any signs of corrosion on it or is it more than 2 stiff links? Any corrosion or more than 2 stiff links, you will need to replace the chain. If the problem is none of this, then you will need to take a look at the wheels. Remove them from the biker and spin the axle. If the axle doesn't spin you will need to disassemble it to clean the bearings. If you have any further questions, please ask.
