Subject: Upgrading to new frame but using existing components

Question
I have a very new (less than 2 months old ) Specialized Rockhopper Pro Disc HT
and I want to buy an S Works HT Frame. Can I get the bike shop guys to
basically put everything that is on the RH on the new frame and still get the
most out of the upgraded frame? Or is it a bit like building a Kit car to look like
a Ferrari?? Cheers.

Answer
There will be some complications from building the new frame up with these components. The problems that arise from this are the bottom bracket, crankset, and headset. You may or may not need to purchase a new headset for this new frame depending on the diameter of the head tube. As for the bottom bracket and crankset you will need to make sure that the teeth of the crankset will not collide with the frame at anytime during usage. The bottom bracket may need to be replaced due to different possible thread sizes on the bottom bracket shell of the new frame. For the most part this build will be fairly simple. If you have any further questions, please ask.
