Subject: cranksets

Question
I have a Schwinn road bike, my pedal has tore the threads out of the crank arm(left side only) what do I need to do as far as replacing the arm or the whole crankset.

Answer
You will need to get a new crankset that is the same length and same thread size as your current crankset. To replace it, you will need to remove the cotter pins holding that hold the arms in, and then remove the arms. Installation is just putting the cotter ins through the crank arm to hold it onto the bottom bracket. If you have any further questions, please ask.
