Bicycle Repair/bike problem

Question
My wife's bike has a problem.  The pedles and chain turn fine but it is not engaging the wheel.  The chain in on all the spokes and everything turns fine when the peddles are going except the rear wheel doesn't move.  What do i have to do?

Answer
This is a job to leave to the bike shop. The problem is the latching mechanism inside the hub shell which drives the wheel forward is not locking in which it should. In order to fix this, you will need to disassemble the rear hub and either fix or replace the locking mechanism inside the hub shell. Again this is a job that should be left to the bike shop. If you have any further questions, please ask.
