Question
Do you know how to tighten or loosen or remove the crank on this nice bike. i cant figure it out. i notice it getting looser and looser nowadays when i ride this bike. but it seems that the crank cant be removed or adjusted. can you tell me how to tighten it. thanks.

Answer
Hello Dave. I'm not sure I quite know what your talking about. Different bikes have different bottom brackets. If it really is the crank though, all you need is a 6 or 8mm hex tool. If you could possibly send me a picture of the bottom bracket I could help you. It would need to be taken from the side without the chain rings. Sorry that this isn't very helpful.

Expertise

I can answer questions on all issues you may have encountered with your bicycle. Some things are hard to explain without visually seeing or riding the bicycle such as vague 'clanking' noises.

Experience

I was my neighborhood mechanic as an early teenager. I have also worked in a bicycle repair shop for about a year and a half.
