Question

hey,
please i wanted to know what happens to an enzyme after the enzyme has completely converted all substrate molecules in products? and what will happen if more substrate is added at this time? thanks

Answer
Hi Amy:  Thanks for your question.

Enzymes are not changed in the course of a reaction.   After the substrate has been consumed, only the products and enzyme remain.  The enzyme is unchanged.

Adding more substrate will just start the reaction again.
