Question
Explain how DNA can be studied using gel electrophoreses.

Answer
Hi rabia; I cannot explain the whole proceedure in this space but suffice to say the DNA segments are separated with special enzymes and then placed on a gel and pulled along the surface by an electrical current that separates components depending upon atomic mass. It is then stained and a pattern is established.
