Question
If in practical/experiment, the question "ask compare the appearance of this cell with that drawn in (b)i) for example" and "account for the differences in the appearances of the two cells in the two solutions." What are the differences for the two in account of me in writing the answers? Thanks

Answer
Hi Ling,

Thanks for the question!

I believe that you want to account for any differences in size and/or shape.  I would also document any differences in the appearance and/or quantity of organelles.  Hope this helps!

Regards,

Chris

Edit:  Hi Ling,

My apologies, I misread your question.  In addition to what I wrote above, you may also have to take into account the osmotic pressure on the cells (i.e. is the cell hypertonic, isotonic, etc...).  In addition, the composition of the two solutions may be a factor that you want to discuss (i.e. pH, presence of salts, osmolality, temperature).

Hope this helps!

Regards,

Chris
