Question
ok so i am 15 and in 9th grade.....i suck in alg. and any kind of math.....i've always wanted to have a job that had something to do with animals.....what biology uses the least amount of math and what kind of highschool and college stuff do i have to do to get to that career? i'm thinking of human biology or zoology....any ideas?

Answer
Dear Samantha,

Even if you're not great at math, you can still get a college degree in biology that will serve you well in your future.  Getting a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, rather than a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree, will allow you to take the biology courses you enjoy but not require you to take nearly as much math as the B.S. candidates.

There are plenty of jobs you can get with a B.A. in biology, including pursuing higher degrees that will help you start a career in wildlife management, environmental law, teaching, working in zoos, museums, wildlife rescue, or other venues where animals are in need of care.

The first step is to find a university that has the degree program that appeals to you, and then go for it!

Good luck!
