Question
What are the roles membrane proteins play in multicellular organisms?  Also, would you happen to know a few principle types of biological molecules?  Whether you are able to answer these question or not, I thank you very much for talking the time to read them.

Answer
Hi Claudia
There are different proteins involved with cell membranes.  The enzymes necessary to maintain the integrity of the membrane are proteins. There are also membranes that are structural and some that are necessary for certain molecules to enter the cell.
The most important biological molecules are
  Carbohydrates
  Lipids
  Proteins
  Nucleic acids
