Question
QUESTION: Hi Mr. Hintz,

I would like to ask if you know something about Frozen Ova. How it's done and everything. You see, I am one of the top students in our class and I have been chosen to do a research on this. And the thing is, I've been researching over the net and I couldn't find anything about it. I seem to be having the idea but yeah...I'd just like to make sure.

And I need to pass this paper on Feb. 14...so yeah, thanks!!

Looking forward to your reply,
Sarah

QUESTION: Thanks! It really helped but I still have one question in mind:

Why do we have to use cyropreservation? Is this only used by those who are incapable or has a low chance of producing oocytes and sperms?

Answer
 Hi sarah
There are a number of reasons why invitro fertilization is suggested.  Normally the egg is fertilized where the oviduct meets the ovary.  Sometimes there is blockage in the oviducts prevents this.  It is also possible there the father has a low sperm count.  So the egg is fertilized outside the body and then implanted in the uterus.  It is kept frozen until ready to be fertilized.
