Answer
Marine Biology is a wide area of study.  All the way from studies of algae to the marine mammals.  The studies involve everything from research on species to ecology and the environment. Marine biologists also get involved in the resources of the sea. (food production etc.) Besides the study of sea life the factors that affect the life are included like the chemistry of the ocean and even the physical characteristics such as the effect of volcanic activity of life in the sea. A recent area of study has been that of deep sea life.
