Question
9.Which of the following situations is most usual for a dominant allele that results in severe effects in the offspring? (1 point)
a) both parents have the trait
b) only a single offspring has the trait
c) The trait occures by mutation
d) none of these
You have already answered this question before.
You said that the answer is A.......I just wonder why?
Originally I thought that it was D because none of the
choices relate to the question.
Could you give me some explanations? tyvm.

Answer
I looked at the question again.  I believe the question is ambiguous since the term "most usual" is arbitrary.  b and c are not correct. It could occur if only one parent had the trait but that was not a choice so I thought the "usual" situation would be A.
