Question
How exactly does the diaphragm work? are there any special enzymes working? i need help ugh!

Answer
Hi Destiny
It is a muscle and like all muscles it contracts.  It changes the volume of the chest cavity.  When it contracts it compresses the are forcing air out of the lungs.  When it relaxes the chest cavity expands lowering internal pressure and air rushes in. The contraction is involuntary and is stimulated by the central nervous system.  Enzymes are involved at the cellular level with the nerve impulses
