Does drinking Mountain Dew soda affect a boy or man's sperm count? (This was an anonymous question asked in my 5th Grade Sex Ed class)

Mountain Dew is just another flavor of a carbonated beverage. This idea comes from some suggestion that caffeine may affect sperm cells.  Mountain Dew has 55 mgs of caffeine in 12 oz.  The fact is that studies have shown that caffeine has no affect on sperm count.
