Question
superman marries lois lane and they have a baby boy. the boy inherits muscles of steel from his father, which is a dominant trait. The boy grows up and marries a mortal female. they have a child. what is the chance that it will have muscles of steel.

Answer
Hi Lisa, thanks for your question

The principles of Dominant/Recessive genes still apply to the Superman character.

The allele for Muscles of Steel = M (dominant trait)
The allele for normal muscles = m (recessive trait)

The chances are 50% that the (grand)child will have Muscles of Steel:

First cross     MM x mm = 100% Mm offspring

Second cross   Mm x mm = 50% Mm, 50% mm

Hope this helps!
