Question
Why is it important for me as a student to study cells? And how does cell functions benefit me in my everyday life?

If you are studying biology you must understand the cell because it is the basis of a living orgsnism.  Unless you are going to be a scientist then such understanding will have no real benefits for your everyday life.  Millions of people go through life everyday without any idea about cells.
