Question
Hello, my 2yr old son just drank our 4mnth old dog's urine, is this dangerous? Will he need to get special medical attention?
I am very worried.

Answer
Hi Kellen:  As long as your puppy is healthy (i.e., doesn't have a urinary tract infection or worms) there should be no problem.  Of course, your son shouldn't make a habit of this!

Would you be surprised to know that drinking one's own urine is a common practice in some countries?
