Question
Hi..
I've read that nerve impulses are electric in nature..So is there any diference b/w the electric nature of nerve impulses and that of common electricity?

Answer
Hello again Pooja.
An electrical current is a flow of electrons while a nerve impulse is a flow of ions across a cell membrane so nerbe impulses are electrical in nature.  Electric current flows at the speed of light.  If nerve impulses went this fast w ecould not function
