Question
I know that diffusion and molecular weight are reversely proportional, but i don't
understand why.  Is it one of those things that i should just take note of, or is
there a simple explanation between the observation?

Answer
I am not entirely sure about this question. Diffusion however is the movement of molecules fron an area of high concentartion to an area of lower concentration.  In a gravitational field the rate of diffusion depands upon the weight and size of the molecules
