Question
Hi,
I'm a high school senior and I need to design a glucose experiment (it can be anything that has to do with glucose) that can be done easily at school (using fruits and solutions that are easy to find). I couldn't come up with any good ideas so far. It would be great if you can help me by giving me an idea on what I can do. Thanks in advance.

Answer
Hi adriana. How about studying the fermentation rates of glucose and fructose using bakers yeast (available at any store) You can measure the fermentation rate by placing fruit juices and yeast in sealed freezer bags by observing the amount of CO2 generated . Do some research on he chemistry of glucose fermentation. let me know what you think and i will help you further.
