Question
Right now I am trying to write up a lab report(that's due tomorrow), and I am having a difficult time answering this question.  It would be greatly appreciated if you could help me.

What are three processes that cells use to allow nutrients, H2O, and large compounds to pass through their membranes into and out of the cell.  Explain each process."

Simple diffusion- Materials pass through easily from areas of higher concentration to areas of lower concentration Gasses and water pass freely

Facilitated diffusion- Simple diffusion but carrier molecules are needed

active transport- Transport agsinst the concentration gradient (Lower concentration to higher ) requires energ
