Question
my period started today so which day will i ovulate?

Answer
Dear Casandra,

Every woman's cycles are a little bit different.  But on the average, ovulation occurs approximately 14 days after menstrual cycle begins.  Don't use this estimate as a form of birth control!  It is extremely unreliable, as ovulations can be quite unpredictable.  Also, sperm can live inside the female's body and be viable for several days after actual intercourse occurs.

To be completely sure of avoiding pregnancy, abstinence or birth control.  If you are actually *trying* to conceive, then having sex every day is the best way to ensure the timing won't matter all that much.

Hope this helps.
