Question

worms
I've found this in the garden soil (actually, i was looking for antlion). they are about 10 mm long.
thanks

Answer
Dear Eitan

It's hard for me to tell from the picture, but if there are six legs very near the front of the animal, and not many legs all along the body, then this is very likely a beetle larva.  I cannot tell you what species it might be, since I am not an entomologist and there are more than 350,000 species of beetles in the world.  But if you bring them to your local Department of Agriculture or similar agency, they might have an entomologist on hand who can identify the grubs.

Hope this helps.
