Biology/graphics programs for biology instruction

Question
Hi, Dana.  I'm creating and editing instructional materials for basic biology.  Do you know of a good graphics program that I could use to create the diagrams, charts, graphs, etc., that will be needed?  Thanks.

Answer
Dear Jay,

While it's not specific to biology, Adobe Creative Suite, which includes Photoshop, Acrobat, and other graphics programs is simply the best there is.  It's all I use.   Very versatile and easy to use.

It's not cheap, but if you are associated with a university, you can usually get an educational discount through your institution.  Hope that helps!
