QuestionQUESTION: hi, good day, sir, i really have a problem and i don't know what to do. you see, i have this investigatory project and its all about Decoction of Makahiya (MImosa Pudica) Leaves and Roots to Lower blood sugar Level. and i really don't know wha to put in the review of related literature and i think my Background of the study and the Statement of the problem sucks. i really need your help. i need to submit this on the last week of January 2010. can you help me? please send your answer to these email Add, ;. thanks. god bless
ANSWER: Could you tell me more about this project. Have you worked out an experimantal design yet to test the hypothesis?

QUESTION: yes i have. the design is simple... i will make a decoction of the herb and administer it to the sample, in this case the mouse. then after that we will take blood samples, and use the gluco meter to determine if the sugar level of the mouse has decreased. i will sart the experiment on december 21 and end it, hopefully on january 11, 2010....
AnswerHi Ashley
I recently googled " mimosa plants and blood sugar" and found several references to studies done to diabetic rodents. It appears that this has been done and the results verified You might want to go there to do some background research. Your experimental design seems fine. I have not seen your statement about the problem nor your hypothesis so I cannot tell you why it sucks. I assume your hypothesis states that the plant will lower blood sugar levels in mice. Previous studies have shown this to be true so you may be beating a dead horse. Perhaps you would be wise to alter your design to develop a quantitative study involving the amounts of the material administered. Good luck
