Question
where do i find out the number of chromosomes, chromatids, homologous pairs, and sets in mitosis, and meiosis?

Answer
Hi Tammy:  Thanks for your question.  Humans have 46 chromosomes, 23 from each parent.  The rest of your question is very involved and hard to describe on a site like this one.  For more information on mitosis and meiosis, you should go to the website of the textbook I use in biology.

There are questions and animations that will really help you understand mitosis and meiosis.

Just click on "animations" on the right panel for more information.

After you read the chapter, write back with any questions you might have.

Hope this helps!
