Question
yes...
is there such a thing as "the speed of blood", like 100 miles an hour 0r 100 yards a second or....?

thank you

Answer
Hi javiergalan
Sure.  Anything that is moving can be measured. The speed of blood however is measured over distance but how fast it moves through the heart. The speed is reported in liters or milliliters per minute.
The speed of blood is not constant as it depends upon heart rate and blood pressure. At rest the normal rate is about 5 liters per minite. This is pretty fast.  Think of two and 1/2 2 liter pop bottles full of blood leaving the heart every minute.
