Question
Hello I m nessa I just want to know why E. coli has the color of yellow in a nutrient agar?

Answer
Hi Nessa:  Thanks for your question.  If E coli is grown on media that contains lactose, it will have a yellow color.  What sugar(s) are in your nutrient agar, and how old are the colonies?

Hope this helps, please write back if you have more questions.
