Biology/Is marine biology a good base for vet school?

Question
Hi, I saw you answer an earlier question related to marine science and vet school, but my question is slightly different. I have completed two years of school at a Scottish university with a declared degree in Marine Biology. I mention it is Scottish because that means I am doing biology 100% of the time from my second year on, there are no general requirements and I am going to start going into marine specific courses this coming year, but will still get general zoology and physiology courses.
My question is will I still be a good candidate for veterinarian school with a degree in Marine biology? I really enjoy the major and would prefer to stick with it, but have always wanted to be a vet and in the past few weeks that pull has been coming back to me.  I don't want to make an impulsive choice so I want to see if I can stay with Marine Bio and if at the end of my 4 years being a vet is still really calling to me I can enroll in a vet school?
Thanks.

Answer
Hi Alice
It looks to that the ideal job for you is as a vet specializing in the health and care of marine mammals.  AS to the requirements for veterinary medicine in Scotland I am afraid that I do not know this.  A degree in bioligy of any kind is a plus.  Check with a vet school
