Hi estelle; Messages in the unmedulated neurons in the beain travel about 3 meters /sec. If you convert this to KPH it would be somewhat meaningless.  This seems rather slow but remember that messages within tne brain  are traveling very short distances. Now if you consider the speed of a impulse ona medulated nerve, from you brain to your big toe for example we would find a speed of 20 to 30 meters/sec
I cannot answer the second question. Eyelashes are not living tissue.  How long it will last before it falls out I suppoose depends upon a lot of things.
