Question
Dear Walter, I have just had my 60th birthday. Is thereany part of my body that actually IS 60 years old? Thank you for your time and trouble. Be assured that many friends will getto see your valued response. Best regards, Michael D

Answer
This is an interesting question Michael. Speaking strictly of time you have circled 60 times. From the standpoint of physiology your body cells are constantly wearing out and dividing and the worn out cells being recycled.Even parts of your skeleton is constantly being redone  But not all your cells; your nerve cells and brain cells do not reproduce nor do your muscles.  Therefore we can safely say your brain and muscles are 60 years old.  Keep in mind though that "old" is relative and it is how you feel. Some people are old at 50.
