Question
Hi there,

What do you think about this:

Ocean ecosystems are on the verge of collapse. The best way to save them is
to create very large international no fishing zones.

I have a debate to do and I have been put in charge of being against this topic
(I don't want large international no fishing zones).  Would you mind giving me
some help in getting started?  I don't know if this would decrease diversity or
what...what do you think?

Thanks!
Nick

Answer
That tactic might be valuable if the decline in fish were the only problem but it is not. In would not affect global warming nor problems of pollution. Also it would necessitate international treaties and we cannot even get agreement on treaties to protect whales
